Mike Rogers (Alabama Politician)
Michael Dennis Rogers (born July 16, 1958) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2003. He is a member of the Republican Party of Alabama. Since 2021, he has served as the Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee. From 2019 to 2021, he served as the Ranking Member of the House Homeland Security Committee. Early life and education A sixth-generation resident of Calhoun County in East Alabama, Rogers graduated from Saks High School and earned both his undergraduate degree in political science and Master's of Public Administration at Jacksonville State University. Early political career At age 28, Rogers became the youngest person to join the Calhoun County Commission. Mike Rogers (sometimes referred to as Mike "in Tokyo" Rogers) is a director, producer, and radio host. In 2006, he became the first foreigner in Japanese history to hold a senior position at a major Japanese broadcasting station, when he was appointed as a program director, then general manager at TV Tokyo's ''InterFM'' channel. Currently, he hosts the "Mike Rogers Show" internationally. The program previously broadcast exclusively on ''InterFM channel'' in Tokyo and on ''Radio Neo'' in Nagoya, Japan. Michael ('Mike') John Rogers (5 October 1932 – 10 October 2006) was an English ornithologist and Honorary Secretary to the British Birds Rarities Committee. Born in Sutton Coldfield (then in Warwickshire), England, the only child of the head brewer at Ansells Brewery, Birmingham, he attended King Edward's School, Birmingham. He joined the West Midland Bird Club as a Junior Member in 1946 and quickly established himself as one of the region's keenest birders. He spent his National Service in the Army Intelligence Corps. In 1958 he joined the Metropolitan Police. In 1981, he retired as a Detective Sergeant, from the force and a few years later moved firstly to the Isles of Scilly and then, in 1987, to Cornwall. He suffered a mild stroke in 1991. In 1978 he became the Sussex Ornithological Society's bird recorder. Michael J. Rogers (born February 20, 1964) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Maryland's District 32 in Anne Arundel County. Early life and career Rogers was born in Detroit on February 20, 1964. He attended Hillcrest High School in Dalzell, South Carolina, and graduated from New Hanover High School in Wilmington, North Carolina, in 1982.
